By attending, you acknowledge that images and video footage may be captured and used for promotional purposes by the Boondooma Museum and Heritage Association Inc. This may include use on our website, social media platforms, promotional materials, and future event marketing. If you have any concerns about being photographed or filmed, please speak with one of our event organisers upon arrival. 🐾 Fur Babies Welcome

Spirit of the Bush is a pet-friendly event and we love seeing your well-behaved fur babies enjoying the bush atmosphere with you.  To ensure everyone’s safety and comfort, we kindly ask that:

🐶 Pets are kept on a leash at all times

💩 Owners clean up after their pets immediately

🚫 Pets are not permitted in certain areas, including under the Big Top marquee and other designated spaces

We appreciate your cooperation in helping us create a safe, respectful and enjoyable event for all patrons, both two-legged and four-legged. 🌾

🏕 Bush-Style Camping

Spirit of the Bush offers authentic bush-style camping for those wanting to stay onsite and enjoy the full experience.

Please note:

🚿 There are no shower facilities available

🚰 Fresh water is delivered daily

🚻 Toilet facilities are provided

📶 Internet and mobile service can be limited or unreliable

💳 There is no EFTPOS facility in the camp kitchen

💵 Please bring cash for camp kitchen purchases and stall holders where required.

We encourage campers to come prepared for a true bush camping experience and enjoy the simplicity and charm of staying under the wide South Burnett skies. 🌾✨

Wednesday Evening

Join us for our sausage sizzle fundraiser from 6pm with proceeds this year going Proston Ambulance Committee.

Saturday 25 April 2026 – Special Family Pass $30

Menu Notices

Menu notices will be displayed outside the kitchen area and there will be different menus on some days. CASH IS REQUIRED FOR ALL MEALS FROM THE KITCHEN AND THE BAR.

Camp Oven Meals

Camp oven meals will be available on Friday and Saturday evenings. Tickets will be presold for Camp Oven meals. Times of the ticket sales and camp oven meals times will be displayed and announced from the stage. Ticket holders are to line up at the advertised time as the meal will be served on time.

Walk up Performers

Those wishing to perform on the Tuesday to Thursday must register their participation by checking in with the Comperes upon arrival, Clarrie Weller. They will be located behind the stage at the back of the Big Top. Sound check will be on Monday with the possibly of walkup performances. Tuesday – open mic after lunch. Wednesday – Australian Country Music. Thursday – Traditional Australian Country Music. Walkup Bush Poets breakfast Tuesday – Thursday.

Saturday Walkup Competition – Conditions of Entry

Entrants must have performed twice on the stage at the current festival. Walk up artists are able to perform on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 21st – 23rd April. Arrange times with Stage Manager.

Walk up artists wishing to take part in the competition need to fill out the the registration form backstage under the Big Top no later than by 8.00 pm on Friday 24th April.

  • Competition times will be announced during the festival.
  • All material must be Australian country content
  • Anyone who has performed at any festival and won the competition is considered ineligible
  • Anyone who has performed for payment will be considered ineligible

⛪Church Service

The service will take place in the gardens commencing at 8.00 am Sunday.

🔥Fires

Fires are allowed but must be in a container and placed above the ground. Ashes MUST BE PLACED IN THE ASH DRUMS LOCATED THROUGHOUT THE CAMPING AREA. If there is a total fire ban called, no fires will be allowed. Please do not allow smoke from your fire to annoy your neighbours.

🚭 Smoke-Free Grounds/Areas

“NO SMOKING” signs are displayed throughout the grounds. Please respect our smoke-free policy for the safety and comfort of all guests.
